*FOR 996/986/987 OWNERS: IXI Shift Knobs will fit the shifter shank of these vehicles, however,

*FOR 996/986/987 OWNERS: IXI Shift Knobs will fit the shifter shank of these vehicles, however, it has been noted that on the earlier models with 5-speed tranny the shank dimensions are slightly larger than the shift knob thru-hole. Please verify that the shank dimensions are smaller than 16.5mm x 7.5mm. If the shank dimensions is lightly larger, minor filing of the shift knob thru-hole will be required. The same applies to any after market shifters. Please research fitment before ordering.
*FOR 964 OWERS: with the rectangular shifter shank, the correct fitment is to order from the watercooled shift knob selections. please email or message so we know to provide the correct shift knob base with the order.
